Parish Administration & Communications
Parish Advisory Board (PAB)
With the parish mission statement, goals and objectives as their creed, the PAB advises the pastor and plays an active role in the parish. Members express the ‘voice of the parish’ and engage the parish at large to create opportunities for dialogue, volunteerism, fellowship, and community. Members of the PAB assist with parish-wide events and initiatives throughout the year, including but not limited to the parish picnic, Discipleship in Action month and the parish directory. In addition, PAB members are expected to serve on and/or lead committees as the need arises. The PAB meets bimonthly (2nd Thursday of the month) and is made up of 12 elected members. There is a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and Secretary, elected yearly from within the Board. Six new members are elected each year during a parish-wide, popular election, replacing those whose two-year term has ended. Members can serve two consecutive two-year terms and then must step down for at least one year. The PAB strives to be a body that represents the many backgrounds, ages, mass cohorts and ministry groups of the parish. As such, any active church member who is at least 18 years old and has been registered at OLQP for 2 years, is eligible for candidacy.

Since then, this quarterly publication has evolved to become a vehicle for highlighting news in the parish and raising up ministries, groups and individuals and current issues.
