First Communion and Reconciliation
Children in 2nd grade or older are invited to join us at the Lord’s table after participating in First  Communion and First Reconciliation preparation. Nine months of formation begins in October. Reconciliation is received in November and the program concludes with the reception of the Sacrament
in May. Parents serve as the primary teachers, following a Home Lesson Guide, which is complimented and supported by a series of eight mandated, on-campus, workshops. These workshops are led by a team of volunteer professional teachers and include activities, games, and discussions to reinforce and review the child’s understanding of the sacraments. Volunteers are needed as catechists, materials preparers,
and with one-off events and Masses.

There is a fee per student to cover program expenses.

​A copy of the baptismal certificate needs to be submitted at registration. If baptized at OLQP, simply let us know.
