Family Circles, Foundations & Family Mass
|
Family CirclesFaith is a gift from God, it is knowledge born of love. And who better to teach children that knowledge born of love then their parents! Family Circles is a family based faith formation program where parents commit to spending 24 hours each year instructing, modeling, guiding, and sharing lessons of faith with their children. The program starts in October and ends in May.
There are two options for this program: Home-based: individual families commit to teaching the faith to their children through regular and intentional family friendly formation sessions and activities. The Faith Formation office will provide materials for faith formation at home including Finding God resources and other lesson guides. Neighborhood/group-based: several parish families team together to conduct lessons and intergenerational activities. During this pandemic, families are encouraged to participate through some form of online video streaming service. Support is available for developing lessons, attaining resources, teaching materials, managing group dynamics and other materials. Info Sessions & Meetings Info sessions for all programming will be offered on August 12 and September 9 through Zoom at 6:00pm. To join a session, click HERE on those dates. All families are required to attend a Family Circle info session which outlines the Circle structure, objectives, safety procedures, best practices, commitment, and reporting system. This session will take place over Zoom on September 23 at 6:00pm. To join the session, click HERE on that date. To register Follow this link: Registration. Please note that only one form needs to be completed for all family members participating in the various formation programs. Registration deadline: September 25th, 2020. |
